It hasn't been working for me. For example Omniscient replied to Veryx's thread but it didn't appear on the page. And usually there is 6-7 pages but recently there is only four threads in there (and I know there is more than four posts in that day)
Anyone know why?

This is happening to me. It might be like the threads that were posted in today?

Did you clear your cache, cookies, databases etc... in your Webbrowser? Tell me how that works because this is queer.

Hmm maybe I did something different this time (because this isn't the first time). If I clicked "Site News and Feedback" than "View New Posts" it'd reset?

No.
A visit is defined by the number of minutes idle.
Here on SF, that it 60 minutes. So, if you view new posts, idle for 60 minutes then view new posts again, the threads will disappear (unless they have been posted on whilst you were idle).
That's the best I can explain it.

View new posts is a useless feature anyway if you have Today's Posts. It's not even needed, and I generally just delete that from my forums and replace it with "View my threads" and "View my posts" which I find to be a lot more useful.

I agree. I replace 'getnew' with 'getdaily' on my forums, but leave it named 'New posts'.
