Ha I told you religion would find its way into this debate somewhere Tongue
(03-12-2011, 11:29 PM)RDCA Wrote: [ -> ]Agree with you again but one part:
Agnostic is a religion, based on what this religion is it is not made by man. So not all religions " come from some were" as this religion has always been here and always will
/RDCA out;

But being non-religious isn't being Agnostic. You can be non-religious and still have an open mind to some type of god, just not God. Agnostic Religion is based on the belief of having no god at all.

Religion and Fate should not be mixed at all. If Fate is a Story, god didn't write them, someone's imagination did. Some stories are written out, and some stories have yet to be written.

Wrong, agnostic is the belief that nothing is wrong or right until proven by science. I didn't say being agnostic isn't being religions. In fact i said it was a religion. So agnostic can have a god, but only one proven by science.
I still wouldn't say Agnostic is a religion, it's more of a philosophy, or an answer to religion in a response. It's skepticism in truth. Questioning what we know today with keeping an open mind. Agnosticism actually involves the idea that it's impossible with our current understanding of life to conclusively come to a statement that says that the existence of God is real.

"Agnosticism, the belief that the existence of any god cannot be proved nor disproved"

If there was truth in science, Agnostic wouldn't be what it's supposed to be. This debate shouldn't be about religion though lol.

I disagree
agnostic = religion
atheism = philosophy
p.s we need more people for this to really get fun. We need omni to debate with us.
p.s.s Do you think i could make it into the hjt team? (trainee)

I'm Agnostic, and I'd be offended if someone was to say that it's my religion. I think religions are all just cults, established to the point that they have become acceptable in our modern day societies.

I don't believe in God, but who am I to say if he really exists or not, although to me it seems highly unlikely. If there is one cool, don't expect me to go to church, if there's not that's even better. I don't tend to believe in things that can't be proved, especially when it comes to a man that created the entire universe in 7 days.
I still have a hard time believing that Agnostic is a religion too. If you can't believe in something until it's proven, that means your belief isn't a "fixed" one, it's adaptive. Which means it's not a religion to me as every other religion involves the same old traditions in some shape or form. The values are the same, as with an Agnostic perspective, they are not.

Well it is : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnosticism
Check the link, it will explain to you why it is a religion and not a philosophy.
Wikipedia isn't a 100% reliable source, all articles are written by individuals themselves and they become biased information most of the time.

But the thing is everybody says you can change wikipedia, well you can but by the time you refresh the page it will be gone again and back to normal.
