First of all, awesome game.. one of my favourites...

Second.
I want to install mods safely such as the free running mod. - How can this be acheived?

I think it's cheap on Steam... like 10 bucks maybe?

About installing mods. Always make a backup of every file you replace. So incase something fu*ks up, you can just use your backup instead.
