I went to do some AIM update to do a video chat and I had to update my adobe player, so I did, and ever since then it's been crashing.

I suggest you do a clean re-install. The official uninstaller can be located here. Note that there are two versions of Adobe Flash Player; one for Internet Explorer, and the other for other browsers.
