I'm trying to work it out by doing more curls with my left than my right. Eventually it should catch up, right?

Maybe you could reduce some weights.
Like this: Normally you do 10KG left and 10KG right.
What you are going to do now is 11KG left and 10KG right. Or 10KG left and 9KG right.
Make sure the weight on the left arm is more then on the right.
That should work.

Yap buddy that also matter's, You are right hander so perform all of your work with right hand and the use of left one is rare so it is natural fact that your left arm is weaker and don't build muscle at that rate of right one....

If you use you right arm than it is natural that the muscle of the right arm will be more
strong that the left arm. so I suggest you increase your workout of the left arm, It will help
you to bring your muscle of equal strength.
