Help with DVD rips

He's not talking about a media player at all, so I don't see how that would help. He wanted to know which codecs support his DVD and Xbox, not what media player will play the video files.

Exactly. I found out for my Xbox (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945416) but when I contacted KOSS, for my DVD player, all they could have given me is the user's manual. Balls!
