Technology will always be there and jobs will continue to grow, so heading in the computer science direction isn't such a bad idea. The economy should (hopefully) work itself out by then and open up some much needed jobs in the field.

As for the FBI/Law Enforcement route, there's a constant need for them. Have you looked into crime scene investigation? Quite an open field and seems to combine both your technology and law aspirations. Big Grin
