If i am not mistaken and i may be. You need 2 ips to deal with dns so you will need a third party to direct your url.
No big deal but i bet you dont have any cpanel access or WHM or whatever. If so then i know the sort of setup you have.
I purchased one once from a company called Crazy Domains. Too much effort to be honest. Better ones out there however you got this free so i guess you could still shell into it probably and even install most stuff manually if you were to spend the Huge $ such things as cpanel and WHM are.
(Dont even consider going the nulled route here.)

I'm sure it has stuff on it, it used to be the VPS someone I know used to host some websites. Then he gave me it and I dunno what to do

Well did he give you passwords and usernames?
If so start trying the ip address with /whm at the end or /cpanel or just try FTP into it with something like FILEZILLA and see whats available.
