How do I rent out a subdomain?
#1
I was wondering how I could rent out a sub domin of a domain that I already own. After looking at the cPanel, I see that I can only url forward a sub domin and I have to do that myself.

Does anybody know how I can make a subdomain "point" to a server? Also if anybody knows how a domain managing interface is built, any information will be greatly appreciated. What I mean is an interface where a user/customer can look for an available sub domain, then register and make it "Point" to theri server themselves.

If I have the neccassary knowledge (I already have the time), I will rent out free subdomains.

This is my mini dreamSuperman

Isn't it just like using a free domain? It's going to be a sub domain anyways, so why make it more of the effort?

You say you use cPanel. Go to the "Basic DNS Editor" and make an A-record.

They have to trust you because you could shut down their redirect at any time.
