Android for sure.
The fact that it's open source, and all of the OS files are available to be modified says a lot about them. Not only that, but how much the devices are customizable, their reliability, great developer outreach (SDK etc...), large range of brands and being backed up by one of the largest companies in the world makes me go towards them. The only iOS device I currently use is my iPod, and as for phones....well Android has been my choice for quite a few years and I don't regret it.
In time Android will overpower iOS, we have seen from the sales that the boom in popularity in devices other than the iPhone is very much because of the android operating system. And they are only fairly new.
