i cant open .exe files and cant listen to music can any one tell me how to use it?
.exe files are for Windows and will not run on Linux.

Check this http://www.ehow.com/how_5027269_open-exe...linux.html and follow it. You will be able to run .exe files on Linux once you have finished downloading it.
most files for linux will be .deb or tar.gz. files i have the same os as you do lol

http://www.getdeb.net/download/4460/0 all you hafta do is add a few addons that show in a tab when you run songbird.

.deb is Debian-specific and isn't an executable binary.
.tar.gz is a gunzipped tar file - (Compressed like .rar .etc) and isn't an executable binary.

Wine is still buggy, a better thing to do would be finding good Linux alternatives to your favorite Windows-only programs...Hey, you will usually find a better Linux one Tongue
Just get alternatives like "iintens" said or use "wine" and don't whine, lol.

Here's a couple links to some alternatives:

WINE isn't that bad really. Hell, it can even run some recent games. While I still used Linux, I could run TF2 and CSS under WINE with no problems.

Also, to play your music, you should download VLC. Here's the link:

VLC is great for everything but music, I recommend Amarok for music.
