A null post? Why is that there
(08-12-2011, 05:37 PM)Pompano Wrote: [ -> ]I will be happy to pay for that privilege if cloudfare offered it. Hopefully it would be cheaper than people like Staminus. It just kills you when you are having to pay 500+ month just to protect your website from DDOS attacks..

I will be re opening this new website anyway and the competition is crazy which means lots of attacks coming through. I am just trying to find the cheapest possible option lol.

I decided to install it for my small forum. Just to get a feel for it and see what it is like. http://rskingdom.com

I have been looking through settings and options and I must say I love it. I will actually be upgrading to pro!

Hi Pompano,

I got your PM but can't respond without ten posts. The issue you're having with IPs can be solved with mod_cloudflare (or equivalent).

More information here: http://www.cloudflare.com/wiki/Log_Files

I don't know any, but i good luck with finding a good one buddy, getting ddosed it crap and gay :/
some hosting sites have it built in with the package.
You can try ddoshostingsolutions.com or blacklotus. Those are paid solutions, but are very effective. Don't belive that hosts have DDoS Protection, thats probably just a software firewall.
As other people said get cloudflare.

It is the most effective way.

Digging up over one month old threads >.>. I assume after more than a month actually, I believe around 2 since the thread was created he probably solved his issue, or gave up.
You could get a cisco hardware firewall if you have a dedi.

Even if the thread is old you can still learn from others experiences.
Cloudflare isn't really that good, all it takes for a potential attacker to get the real ip of your website is a quick e-mail to cloudflare and they happily turnover the IP for any reason.
