=48÷2(12)
=24(12)
=288

This really confused me. I was using PEMDAS and I kept getting the answer of 2 >.< I hate math.
I'm extremely bad at maths but I managed to get this.

How people get two:

48÷2(9+3)
48÷2(12)
48÷24
2

Admittedly I made this mistake on my first try. I was imagining it as a fraction like this and focused too much on the way it was grouped rather than PEMDAS.

48÷2(9+3) = ?

First you do whats in the ( )
48÷2(9+3) = ?
48÷2(12)

Then you do Multiplication and division, Since they are both there you work Left to right.

48÷2(12)
24(12)
288
