Black Ops was an updated version of World at war. So perhaps it was a filler for a new game. I've heard that Infinity ward will not be working on a new release but they will be working with Sony Online Entertainment and Blizzard to produce a completely new MMO.
If MW3 ever comes out then the cycle of CoD games is going to start over again.

I have given up on Call of Duty games. I have found out that it is fun the first couple days, and then becomes dull.
Plus, $60 is a rip off.

For the campaign only? Yes it's a rip off. With the multiplayer it's debatable. Call of Duty 4 imo was definitely worth that much, if not more.
I think they should fix the noob tube. Also remove the tactical knife & akimbo G18... Then it would be one of the best FPS! Also new future isn't bad.
Yea, I heard Mw3 is in production with a new company. Just a rumour though :\
