I'm not understanding what you mean by "it's fake".. of course it's "fake".. you're only editing an image, not changing the person's eye color. If you mean it "looks" fake, then I have to disagree. Even I, an amateur at Photoshop, was able to make an authentic looking change to the person's eye color.

For example this eye, which isn't the best example tho.

Humans eye needs more work in graphics then just a color overlay.
And I really don't care if you agree or not. My opinion is my opinion.
