There are hundreds and hundreds of server providers.The best one which I use is of one.com

There are some different types of servers:
VPS - Virtual server (Partition of a Real one)
Dedicated - Non-shared personal server

They tend to be very expensive and I would not recommend purchasing one without knowing what you are doing. Go for maybe a bulletproof hosting plan if possible.
