Should I take up VB?

So you're scared because you don't think you have the mental capability to learn it? If you maintain that mindset, you're absolutely correct.

its not like you can only learn one language, but i well say that instead of learning VB just start with C# its better in everyway

VB.NET is a good language IMO except if you want to create malware with it which I would not suggest. But if you think it's childish because it's high level you can learn C++ but it is more difficult.
