vBulletin, Invision, phpBB or MyBB?

Quality priority support only offered to Paid members.
Not like MyBB forums where kids run it and often the most important answers are not answered and the stupid ones are. Thankfully for MyBB there are some really good branch off sites that do really kick it up a gear with mods and themes! Central comes to mind.

As for VB i have found a very big difference in the mods available when i moved from MyBB.
Most mods are related to making money or actually making differences in the forums.
MyBB tends to add glossy stuff.
I moved to VB simply because banned from MyBB forums.
At the time i knew nothing. And actually regretted it for prehaps 2 months.
I did think VB was inferior. But as i got to know how to actually use it i realized its power.
Its a Damn quality Forum Software IMHO.
But you are correct. If you want to make a quick forum then MyBB is the way to go. Its quick and simple.

Vbulletin is awesome. Has cool plugins, and is well worth the money it costs.

I prefer MyBB, simply because it's open source and the like. I've only ever used Nulled VBullitens though.

I would still say VBulletin, the quality of pretty much every aspect would probably be higher, otherwise what are you paying for?

It's not really a fair comparison. The fact that 2 of the options are premium and 2 of the options are not premium really makes a difference. Premium=more staff. So for free, MYBB, for premium, V bulletin. Between the two, its hard to say, but V bulletin would probably be my choice, even though i love Mybb, i can't afford V bulletin anyways.

Nope, me and my mate bought a VB license last year, we used it, I didn't like it, he ran off with my license and well yeah, I still prefer MyBB
