Windows 7 installation problem
#1
I have ubuntu 9.10 on my HDD. When I try to install Win7 from DVD it says: Windows cant install on this partition. The partition must be in NTFS format. This partition is unrecognizable format.

It also detects 2 partitions one of which is 5.8gb and the other is the rest of the HDD and my HDD is not partitioned (at least not by me)

So how do I install Win7 ??

You have to delete this partition (the big one) and then re-create it but in NTFS Format, so that it works for Windows. I don't know if that can be done from the Win 7 Installation DVD, but it can certainly be done using your Ubuntu installation disk.
My software company: Porosis Software
Games: Terrantula
Apps: Mathanasis, ColorGrabber

Use DBAN (Darik's Nuke And Boot) to re-format to NTFS.
