Transfer to another webhost - kizmark - 10-20-2010
Hello, I am a newbie webmaster. I'm planning to transfer my current webhost to a paid one.. I don't have any idea on how to transfer it, or mayber to have back up my forum. If you asked me on how did I install my forum, its because of the help of friend but for now, I can't contact him. Please guide me .

So what are you running, just a forum? If so can't you perform a backup via your admin panel? Then on the new host you re-install the forum software and restore your back up.

yeps, just a forum.. What file do I need for the new host?.. is it only the ".gz" file?.. Do I need to contact my old hosting and ask permission to leave?..
another question, how do I get the files from my forums?.. I mean the folders in it.. I want to download them and will try to run it via offline mode.

You're missing a database table. Did you back everything up fully?
