Beginner question about Bookmarks.

OK I just down loaded Firefox and it is shinny, new and fast so I do not wish to mess it up.

I have been using IE for years and I am used to having the Favorites in a column on the right hand side of the page.

Is it possible to make Firefox Bookmarks look or act like IE Favorites and have them in a column on the side ?

Not sure what you mean by column, but try going to View > Sidebar > Bookmarks. That puts them on the left hand side.
