64 bit vs 32 bit
#1
There is a lot of discussion and debates about which one is better. Some say 64 bit, because it's faster, others say it's 32 bit because not all programs are available for a 64 bit version.

Which one do you run, and why?

I would run 64 bit because it is becoming much more prevelant

64 bit allows you to have more hardware. 32 bit is limited to 4 gigs of ram.

I agree with 64bit being the future of everything. However many linux programs aren't stable on it yet. It caused minor issues with me before I switched back to windows because of them.

Alex not just programs, the os itself isn't stable. It isn't as good as 32, and you can easily add more ram if you know what you are doing ;)

After having run both I would say I prefer 64-bit because it sees my full 4gb of RAM.

64 bit is suppose to be faster but it has a lot of incompatibility.
