Your dad is paying for you to study
At least do that for him
Think about that

I have the same problem, You just have to make yourself do it. That's the only way I get things done..

You should also eat on a regular basis, keeping your blood sugar up is crucial.

Well I have my exams coming up in just about a week now, and I have to admit that I haven't studied at all, and that's a big problem.

Without sounding like I'm up myself or anything, I'm a smart person; I just find it hard to get myself motivated if what I'm supposed to be doing is not tech related, or I'm not writing something (I'm an English Whiz, too.)

Anyway, what do I do to overcome procrastination? At the start of the day I always feel like I could get some study done or whatever but whenever I get to the library at lunch I'm always straight on Skype or something, and when I get home there's hardly a chance in the world of me doing any non-tech work.

Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

You must dedicate time to the cause. After you've done all your homework, at about 7:30 PM, sit down with your coffee and study for an hour or two. Do that every 2-3 nights and the nights before exams - it works for me.
Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.

I can't ever get myself to study for anything, so i usually study with other people, and that motivates me somehow. I think you should try it, it has really helped me!

I got some study done this weekend and I've been watching Kahn Academy videos to catch up on things that I've missed, and to recap. Truly a great resource.

Wooooaaaaahhhh! Weird... I'm almost the same... But I hate writing. Instead I've got a thing for physics.

At my school, if you've had A's (95+) the entire year, you don't have to take end-year exams, and I've had A's all year; so, I don't have to take exams Smile
