Just preview the thread. That's what I've always done. It's a lot easier IMO.

This way you wouldn't have 5000 people Previewing their post, in this section they can show other members that it doesn't work either.
At the top will be the same place you hang from.

Maybe it works in preview but when you post it then it fails....

If a post fails / works, it's bound to do the exact same on the final copy.
