Some help with PS, please?
#1
Hi guys.
This image is going to be the basis for a menu on a website I'm designing. It's fine, except the white background. See?
Is there any way I can easily remove the white background and just have the red image besides using the lasso? The background of the website isn't white, so it's a problem. I've been trying to use the [magnetic] lasso for about an hour but I keep screwing up. I can't cut the edges or anything at all, lest I mess up the menu. Could someone tell me how to do it, or if it's too difficult to explain, do it for me?
In any case, here's a screenshot of the image in photoshop, and the image for download:

I've posted a simple way to do that in you other tzhread, but with this image you will have the problem with the gradients....
But if you don't mind it, just use Layer Options -> Blend If -> White

Blend IF White won't work, the background isn't white. It's got shades of other colour too.
At the top will be the same place you hang from.

I filled the white with black, then used the wand tool to select as little of the fill as I could. Copy and pasted into a new file and rubbed back all the extra bits.
Had to smudge a bit of the black in (thats why the corners are fudged up)
