Here’s how you can install IIS on Windows 7/ Vista
#1
Wanted to install IIS feature in Windows 7 or Vista? Here are the steps:

1. Go to Control Panel and click on Programs
2. Click on Turn Windows features on or off option in Programs and Features
3. In Windows Features window, expand Internet Information Services tree node
4. Select all the options visible and click on the OK button. In case you have a fair knowledge about the specific options needed, you can select only those as well.
A dialog box appears that prompts you to wait while the changes take effect.
5. You may need to restart your PC to enable this feature to work properly.

This feature is needed in development work, especially in ASP.NET.

Note: All the versions of Windows 7 and Vista may not have this feature.
