Need Information About "Cannot Find DNS Server" Error on Windows 7
#1
Hi. Could really use some help. I have had something weird about my internet for the last week straight.

Every single night. Right at about 12am in the morning until about 6am in the morning).. my computer loses all interet connection and then when i troubleshoot the error i get for those 6 hours is "Cannot Find DNS Server" then after those 6 hours it starts working just fine for the rest of the day.

My phone internet works fine during these 6 hours when my computer doesnt.. so i'm guessing maybe it something wrong on my computer?

Things i've tried that did not work:

1) unplug router and modem and replug in a couple minutes later.
2) run ipconfig/flushdns & reboot
3) windows 7 internet connection troubleshoot (just gives the cannot find dns error)

What other things can i do?

I was thinking. can it be something i installed? should i find a 2 week old system restore point?

Also is it 100% my computer.. or is it possible its my isp (brighthouse networks) & i need to call them?

Any other ideas? Thanks so much!

Change your DNS server to Google DNS.
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

This should resolve problems with bad DNS from you ISP.
