Exactly; by automatically closing threads 3~ moths old that have served their purpose, it can prevent spam and members spamming.

I'm sure 6 months is optimal, If you've been here for a few years then you'll know what I mean. People don't usually grave dig a thread before 6 months anyway.

You'd be suprised, really. Whistle I see many threads like that.

Wouldn't be a bad idea, although I do sometimes grave dig but don't mean to.

You see posts like the one above me? (before it gets deleted.)
this is why Omni needs to pick up the pace with being an admin, or appoint a new admin.

How about automatically locking threads that don't get posted in after 1 month? So many threads are gravedug and their problems are long solved, the discussions long ended, etc.
Thoughts?

It's not really a problem. I've never had a grave digging rule on any forum I've ever run.
Superman I am here to rescue you.

I wouldn't have thought there was a rule. It's more annoying, rather, to see people posting in threads who have had their questions solved and things of that nature.
