Router's Login Information
#1
(192.168.1.1)

Typically the default login information for routers are usually

Username: admin
Password: password

But more recently they have been
Username: admin
Password: *blank*

Username: *blank*
Passwprd: admin

Username: admin
Password: admin

Username: *blank*
Password: *blank*

If those don't work, then you could always look online for your router's default login information, and then hold your RESET button for 1 Minute and then proceed to login after that.

Also, a thing to add; some routers don't have a username/password set at all, so you just hit enter when it asks for the psasword. This is, of course, if you haven't set one yourself.

When i got my router, the default information was

Username: *blank*
Password: admin

I've seen that on quite a few routers. Might want to add that.

you should also note that not all routers use the standard IP of 192.168.1.1...

I believe netgear routers use 192.168.0.1

you can find out your router IP by doing this in XP....

start>run>cmd (enter)>ipconfig
whatever your default gateway IP is, is the IP of your router.

Even my router has same address.
I once accessed my college wifi using the above default passwords. Dum fellows, didnt changed default router password. So, I helped them out by hacking router password and then changing pass.
