Namecheap provide free Whois Gaurd which protects your identity when using Or Owning a domain, I would highly suggest namecheap because both their Prices and offers are in high demand Much less and much better then Godaddy. so If you need a domain or ever needed one, Name cheap are the ones to go with.

I think host gator charges like $3 to protect your info. Not %100 sure though :/

I always pay the extra for who is protection but I never have actually entered legit info when buying a domain.

What I do is this...

Buy hosting from a decent site that accepts PayPal, Liberty Reserve or AlertPay then buy the hosting add a domain for like an extra 10$ a year then just use fake info as long as its not too far away from you its very good way and cheap Smile
