pah,gimp doesnt suck.
it can be very complex if experiment with settings and learn how to fully tinker with it,its just aimed at the home user whereas PS is aimed at the graphics industry so they arent equally compareable.
personally not a fan of PS-always found it a processor whore and to much faffing about.

In all my years using graphic design software, GIMP is by far the worst I've came across.

I'd agree, it's nice because it's free, but it's horrible as a program for image editing or any sort of graphic creation.
