Windows Movie Maker Error?

So I got some random huge virus, couldn't system restore etc.
Installed Win XP pro and now I get this when I try to run Windows Movie Maker..

You can find a tutorial on how to re-install WMM from here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/deanro/archive/2...55050.aspx
I think that it's worth a shot as it seems the installation of WMM got corrupted in some part.

Have you tried running other programs too? Maybe other programs got corrupted as well or possibly a windows file as well.

I would suggest download Malwarebites. you can find it on google at the official site. I used to get errors all the time. After running a clean up of my pc it removed all those stupid errors. Good luck man.

Try ccleaner.
May fix the error.
Try downloading windows movie maker from microsoft's website.

Download VLC media player instead, 1000 times better. Download Malwarebytes and do a full scan by the way.

People keep bumping these old threads, but oh well, Movie Maker is terrible, use Vegas.
