Question about third party websites.

Hello.

If someone asks for a review on a site that supports piracy or hacking, should it be reported? Or does the content of the site not fall under the jurisdiction of the rules on SF?

I don't think so, as they are asking for reviews. If they where advertising it, then that's another story, but not asking for reviews. I mean after all this forum is for Support Not discriminating against people because their interest (You can't really make a good site on a topic you don't like) Isn't the same as yours/Omni's.

Unless it is something highly illegal, like CP or fraud. Then I say it is ok.

I'm going to say yes. I've already reported one and I'm pretty sure it was deleted.

Also it's not discrimination. Warez isn't an interest it's an illegal act. Should we also allow child pornography sites?

Here's the thing, the rules are no posting illegal things. That includes links IMHO. And going to the reviews section to ask for a review (I'm sorry, 9/10 of the "review requests" are advertisement) is still posting the illegal items. I'm going to have to vote yes to reporting.
Do you know how to make games? Do you know 3d Modeling? If so then visit

See, that's what I thought. I've been reporting such illicit sites. I just wanted to make sure I was not alone in this mindset.

Hmm, but what falls under illicit sites? I mean I posted mine looking for advise on the theme/layout.

However, some may view it as not within the rules of SF, other may think it is fine, it is sort of in a grey area.

Advertising and reviewing are different things.

Weather it's being advertised or reviewed doesn't matter. If there is content of the site that is illegal in general it shouldn't be allowed to be posted.

It depends on the "illegal" content. Say it was a hacking forum like HF. That would be legal. If it was a Warez website, that would be illegal.

Seems fine. Just asking for a review.
