About the anti-virus thing causing BSOD. It can also occur when installing things in which make changes to your BIOS. As your BIOS generally has It's own built in anti-virus which instead of helping, likes to cause BSOD's.

Haha I remember a long time ago I tried making a crypter and it took me ages and I crypted a file and when I ran it, it gave me BSOD. It pissed me off so much since it took me forever to make that crypter.

Or just download this
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/bluescreenview_setup.exe

Then options--->Tick show drivers in stack
OK
Click on crash dump. The files in red are the ones causing the issue
The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
