Use gnome currently. Like the way kde is heading, but i think i'll wait a few more releases before switching.

KDE is too bloated for me; it taeks too much RAM for a system with little resources and the layout is generally too complex. Gnome is more simple but does the same job if not better. Personally i prefer XFCE but that is out of the scope of the thread.


P.S I like the gnome games aswell Big Grin

I like Gnome better for a few reasons
  1. Its plain
  2. As far as i know, it can't be ported into windows Big Grin
  3. Its cleaner.
  4. Less resources taken.
  5. Personally i think its sharp.

gnome over all

kde is to much of a memory hog and all it is is eyecandy

i would prefer fluxbox

KDE is horrible, probably the worst for me. I use Gnome.

I have a strong dislike for KDE, I enjoy Gnome very much.

i like kde better than gnome
it's got better apps
