I was never beaten as a child. The worse I got was the belt across my butt. The last time that happened I was five or six and it was because I false dialed 911 enough times that the police responded to the house. After that my parents were never the physical type. I don't recall any spankings as a child. And everything was just verbal when I was a teenager.
