Borrowed an old game of my friend - Soldie of fortune - The very first one. Platinum edition.

ok this is the laptop that it runs quite crappy on... http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/advent/laptop/5431.htm

Everything seems ok untill i fire a gun and it stutters like mad, hope someone can help me.

PS: Im using XP

Well after a good look around it seems the laptop does not support opengl, no worrys though i got it running abit smoother

it is possible to upgrade video card to the one that support openGL.
