My Wireless Stick is Overheating. Help. - nevets04 - 03-10-2010

I'm running Ubuntu using a Linksys wireless USB stick. The USB Stick is overheating and causing me not to be able to connect to the Internet. This USB stick does not overheat when it's used on Windows XP. What may be causing it to overheat on Linux? How can I fix this?

Thats weird. Is it possible Linux is treating it as something else when plugged in? Check your wireless settings possibly?

Check what is set as the connection source.

It detects the wireless stick.
