How can I get higher FPS in Borderlands? - nevets04 - 12-29-2009
I get around 10-15 FPS which is unbearable to play in. I have all my settings on low, and I don't know what to do. Usually there are guides to get more FPS by messing around with the confog, but I can't find any for Borderlands. Aswell, I've heard about programs that can run in the background that can give you more FPS. Do those work? Where can I get it? Any suggestions are appreciated.

You can try gamebooster I don't think any config editor can raise your fps that much where it's bearable to play. The only other option is to get a new graphic card.

I tried the game booster, I get maybe 2 more fps, still no good though. Can you suggest a good graphics card for under $75?

You can't just look at the price, you have to look at what type of slot your graphic card has and whether it will fit, you also have to check if you have enough power supply AND if your fan is good enough so it doesn't overheat.
