Microsoft Bizspark - Notorious Mental - 12-28-2009

Some of you here may know the Microsoft Bizspark program. (Microsoft.com/bizspark)

Well I used to make money out of this, but lately I always get declined from the network partner I apply through.

My question is:

If I apply as a network partner and become one (To send enrollment codes to myself and get accepted instantly) will I have to pay anything ro Microsoft? I downloaded their TOS of the microsoft bizspark network partner program, but it says nothing about paying.

Anyways I wanted to ask here to get opinions by more skilled users so I can be sure.

Should I apply as a Microsoft network Partner?

Thank you in advance.

No you don't have to pay anything. MS has them so they don't have to review the millions of aps that come in. They allow the partners to review them. However, getting one of them requires a lot more work than just applying to a partner. They are actually going to require a little bit of documentation to go along with things.

Could you provide me with some more detail into this "documentation"? Documentation like?

Actual documentation on a business.

That sucks a bit. Have you applied?

RE: Microsoft Bizspark - Grizzly - 12-31-2009

Yes, I have applied before and since I didn't have all the documentation I wasn't approved. However, sooin Re:Grizzly will become an LLC and I will be filing a registered trademark on it for certain aspects, which will help my claim ;)

Not sure if this applies to what you are talking about, but I found this in the FAQ:

What will it cost to participate in BizSpark?
As part of Microsoft’s commitment to Startup success, there is no upfront cost to enroll in the program. Startups will be responsible for a USD$100 Program Offering Fee when they exit the program.

Well, being a network partner is really hard nowadays. I heard they call you out, so I am out of this discussion.

MSDN has grown up and realized a lot of people abused the system. It's hard to even get an admin account there.
