It's again, one amazing update release from the Linux team. Was thinking about installing Ubuntu, I have some people tell me that I need to buy a better GPU than the one I'm running on Windows, but the results would be the same. Is that correct or?

Ubuntu will be more lightweight than Windows, VanCliffe.

Adding onto what Solidus said, it will be VERY lightweight and you'll love it.

'Very' depends on your hardware. Gnome is the second most bulky environment. I don't recommend using it with Compiz/Emerald if you have less than a gig of ram.

Anything is still lighter than Windows to my knowledge.

Well I got 4 gig of ram at the moment, and a nVidia GeForce 9500GT with 1 gig of video memory. What if I play the games under Wine, will it have lesser FPS?

What is the difference between the 10.10 and 11.04 version? New features, or?
