IP & Port Foward Questions Help - iMario - 03-12-2011

First of all, my IP is always changing. Example yesterday it was 192.168.1.3 today it's 192.168.1.9 ... I want it stable can someone help me please.

Also, I opened a port but my connection get refused... I'm sure that it's open but something is blocking it. Help? Edit: If I use DMZ, it works but I don't want to use DMZ...

Just to be sure of something, an Private IP is like 192.168.1.9 and a public IP is like the same IP I see when I go to canyouseeme.org... Right?

Routeur: TP Link TL-WR741N
ISP: http://www.acanac.ca/

That isn't your IP. Do you mean your IPV4 address?
This will change anytime your router and modem reset.

Don't use canyouseeme.org

Download the portchecker at www.portforward.com

I know it's not a public IP it's like the IP for the router.... Well yes IPV4

OK I will try the port checker.

Edit: Port Still Closed
Edit: If I use DMZ, it works but I don't want to use DMZ...

You need to make your IP address STATIC, Look around in your modem/routers manual for more information on how to do this.

My IP is now STATIC but this change what?

RE: IP & Port Foward Questions Help - Peter L - 03-13-2011

If your IP is static then there shouldn't be a problem.

What is your isp?

And it may be your firewalls.
