Alright, I'm trying to have people have the need to register in order to view forums. But, I tried to disable people from viewing the forum threads but it became blank. with just a dash mark in the thread section. How would I fix that?

Could you provide a link to your forum? All you need to do is change the guest permissions in the AdminCP.

It is possible if you just hide all of the forums. but i'm assuming you want one of those forums where the registration page constantly comes up so that people can't view the forums until they go through that process first?

No, he wants thread titles to be visible on the forum display page, but the thread contents inaccessible.
