The purpose of system security is to protect an customer valuable resources, such as information, hardware, and software. Through the selection and application of appropriate safeguards, security helps the customer mission by protecting its physical and financial resources, standing, employees, and other physical and intangible resources. Protecting the system can be as critical as protecting other customer system resources, such as money, physical assets, or employees etc.
