Help installing ubuntu on a vm - Annuit Coeptis - 01-30-2011
Hello all:
I am trying to install Ubuntu on a virtual machine but I always get stuck at the same part. Here are the steps I have been taking:
- Capture physical drive D with Ubuntu live cd in it
- REstart the VM
- Load up to ubuntu install screen
- Press F4 and choose safe graphical mode
- Select try using linux with no change to your computer (So that I can install it later)
It works up until that point and then it stops at this point and I don't know what to do.

this will just let it run in LIVE mode. You wanted to install it right, not run it right away?

Yes, I wanted to install it. I ended up using VirtualBox instead of Microsoft Virtual PC and everything worked fine so my problem is solved.

I never knew that installing Ubuntu on VM was hard. Use VMware or VirtualBox. They are much betta. I recommend VMware. Its more easy to use.
