My Cat Won't Stop Spraying - Maurice Moss - 01-16-2011

My parents want to get rid of my cat because he keeps spraying on stuff in my house. I really don't want to get rid of him.

Does anyone have any tips to get them to stop?

Edit:

I refer spraying to as the way they mark their territory.

If you could first explain what spraying means when it comes to cats?

Get him neutered. Problem solved.

Spraying? I assume you mean pissing everywhere? Send him outside for a while... He'll learn that if he's indoors, he'll be kicked out if he does it. Make sure you raise your voice at him when he does it too.

Any time the cat does it put him outside and don't let him in.
He'll run away probaly a few times but eventually he'll understand what's going on.
With dogs it's easier. Big Grin
