Ubuntu Screen Brightness - Austneal - 11-10-2010 Ive got Ubuntu 10.04 on a Gateway T-6836 laptop, and I can't seem to get the display to dim like its supposed to. It works fine in windows, but when I'm in Ubuntu its at max brightness all the time. When I try to use the function keys (fn + down arrow) to decrease it, it shows the little slider bar at the top likes its dimming it, but nothing happens. Any ideas to what would be causing this? RE: Ubuntu Screen Brightness - haphazard - 11-15-2010 right click on any panel; and click (add to panel) and choose the "brightness app"... Hope I helped! |
