Thanks for the information, I'm getting Astro a40's
Don't get the Astro's, get the X41's. They are a lot more comfortable and better value for money. I've heard many reports of people being unsatisfied with their A40's but I think only one complaint on the X41's and that was because someone got them wet (he claimed they should be waterproof -.-). Seriously, get the X41's and you won't be disappointed.
I don't like turtle beach. I love the MIXAMP, and I think Astro company has a money day back guarantee
If you want my honest opinion. Here it is. I think they are both a major waste of money. I could find hundreds of other things that are important in life that I could use the hundreds of dollars spent on a headset where you can listen to your tv through your ears with a little bass boost. That is it.
Sure if you are a major gamer feel free to get it.
If I had to choose it would probably be the Astros though. But I don't know. I have friends who have turtle beaches and seem to have a lot of problems with them.
I broke my Xbox 360 Slim Headset so I'm ordering my Astros very soon

I say TBx41: basically the same if not better than Astro's. Astro is with MLG but that doesn't mean their the best just means they have a contract and a big money deal! MLG doesn't use Turtle beaches because the X41 is wireless so if you had a lot of people using them close together what would happen-signals would mix and interfere with each other so that's why MLG uses a "wired" Astro headset, so if your going to go to a tournament a lot get the astro; if you just want a BOSS headset for home get the TBx41! Thats my opinion hope it helped.
i personally am content w/ my turtle beaches x1's they are very consistent and havent let me down yet. had them for about 8 months.
I myself have the Astros. They are really great. I recommended them.

Yeah, I really want them they look so amazing and look very comfortable.
