Full Version: [TUT] Change Your IP Address In Under 10 Steps! [TUT]

This will change your dynamic ip address.

1: Open up the start menu and click on Run

2: Type in command and click ok

* You should see the MSDOS prompt screen *

3: Type ipconfig /release hit enter

4: Type exit now close the window

5: Right click "my network places" and click properties

* You should now see a screen with your Local Area Connection and all your other connections*


6: Right click local area connection and click properties

7: Click on the General tap then click "Internet Protocol (Tcp/Ip)"

8: Click "use the following ip address"

9: Click create an ip address ( just put random letters untill it is full)

9.1: Press tab, and hit "OK" twice

*You should now be back to the Local Area Connection and other connection screen*

9.3: Right click on Local Area Connections and click properites

9.5: Go to "Tcp/Ip" setting

9.7: Click "Obtain and Ip Address Automatically"

9.9: Hit "Ok", Hit "OK" again

Now you have changed your Ip Address in UNDER 10 steps!

Hello.

You should probably state that this only changes your local IP, which like no sites, person, or organisation is interested in. They want your external IP, which can only be changed by a) a proxy, b) a VPN, or c) switching to a new ISP.
Or if you have a router you can change the mac on the router and that will get you a new IP Smile
also you could leave it unpluged for a while.
