1-Your best way at making pixels?
2-Can you gain credits without a credit card?

There are a few ways to gaining pixels. The first thing you can do is just sign in everyday and enter the hotel. There are 'achievements' on the hotel, which once you complete them you get pixels for completing them. You can join the Habbo Club to get pixels also. And the easiest way to earn pixels is just to be logged on. You get pixels for just being online in the hotel.
You don't need a credit card to buy credits. Depending on what hotel you're using there's a page that tells you various ways to buy them.
For Habbo USA/UK it's -
http://www.habbo.co.uk/credits and
http://www.habbo.com/credits . If that's not the hotel you're using go to the homepage and look for a tab that says "coins".

Well Sulake has to make money somewhere. There's various ways to make credits in game though. You can play some games like "Falling Furni" or "Dont hit my wall" for a prize. The prize is either coins or furni which you can trade for coins. You could go around and beg people for coins, but that rarely ever works.

alot of those games scam... it's a shame.
